Welcome to a very special chapter in human history. Although it has brought us many wars and conflicts, faith has always acted as a big part of human life, culture and development. And since there are many different religions and pantheons it's no surprise that conflicts are inevitable. From polytheism to monotheism, religions have developed all around the world but we'll only be interested in those that shaped today's world the most.
Where it all begins
Even as early as a couple of million years ago, people started creating pantheons, different beliefs they chose to follow. Although these pantheons developed in prehistory they are not much different from today's biggest religions. People back then choose to believe in "good" and "bad" spirits and devoted them their food, stock or gold while worshiping. In time, more detailed religions started spreading. Greeks and Romans for example have chosen to believe in gods that guarded them in battles, brought them food and shelter and protected them from natural disasters. And today? From apostles to prophets religion has spread throughout the world and shaped our past as well as our future.
The main three
With our focus on probably the largest ones so far, we will explore Judaism, Christianity and Islam to see their similarities and differences, check out some of the most important events that shaped them and take a look at their development.
